Motorcycle Cross Country Trips Taxes are due this month.  Worries of a government shutdown are everywhere. Raises which used to be passed out once a year have virtually become stuff of legend as the majority of this country’s workers are approaching four years since they last had a pay increase.

Is it any wonder we are so stressed out we just lay there at night staring at the ceiling rather than getting a good night’s sleep? There is relief. There is light at the end of the tunnel. There are millions of miles of majestic landscapes that are begging to be seen and the only price of admission is a tank of gas and the guts to hit the road on the back of that bike you’ve kept in storage all winter long. Whether it be for a couple days, a couple weeks, or a couple of months, get away from the stress, get out of the house, fill up those motorcycle saddle bags with a few necessities, and cut yourself some slack for a change.

It could be a trip to the Gulf riding interstate 10 all the way from Texas to the Florida Panhandle or a quick shot down the Pacific Coast highway. It doesn’t matter where you are going as long as you take your time and enjoy the ride. To help you out though, we have compiled 5 of our favorite cross country trips that are sure to put a smile on your face and all that stress firmly in the rear view mirror.

5 Must Ride Before You Die Cross Country Motorcycle Trips

1.The Four Corners- For those looking to cover a lot of ground and catch a glimpse of some of the most breathtaking views this country has to offer, the Four Corners ride is one of the most inspiring rides in existence. Kicking off in Las Vegas , this 13 Day, 2405 mile trip takes you through parts of Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and Colorado. With stops at the Grand Canyon, several Indian Reservations, and the Natural Bridges National Park; this is the Wild West at its best!

2.The Music Cities Tour- Motorcycles and music go together like leather jackets and five o’clock shadows. Just the sound of that steel guitar and the whine of a violin is enough to make most jump up, grab the nearest girl, and hit the dance floor. If you are a fan of great music then a trip that takes you from Memphis to Nashville to New Orleans will sound like a dream come true. The Music Cities Tour begins in Orlando and takes you to the heart of the south with tons of great stops in between. Clocking in at around 2,500 miles this is the tour for those who just want to rock.

3. The Northwest Tour- You’ve been to the south and are sick of the west, it’s time to try something a little bit off the beaten path with a trip north of California through Oregon and into Canada. Kicking off in San Francisco and winding north in the shadow of Mount St. Helens, this is one trip you will never forget as you enjoy the smell of fresh rain, some of the most awesome views of the Pacific, and plenty of international exposure as you make your way into Vancouver.

4. Route 66- This is the Great American Motorcycle Tour taking you back in tome to the 1950’s when the world was a different place full of classic cars, all night diners, and rebels without a cause. This 15 day trip is more like a journey back in time than it is a motorcycle ride. Crossing three different time zones and eight states, this one is on every biker’s bucket list.

5. The New Hampshire Motorcycle Tour- There’s nothing in this world like traveling the winding roads of New England. Watching the waves of the Atlantic crash against the cliffs as you make your way from Manchester through Stowe into Bay Harbor and back through Kennebunkport. This is a tour through some of the most majestic landscapes that are historically known for first inspiring this nation’s settlers.
